...Wintry mix possible this evening followed by accumulating snow Monday into Tuesday will impact early Christmas travel...

Rain over western North Dakota will change over to all snow by midnight CDT tonight. Light freezing rain or sleet will be possible before this changeover to all snow at places like Williston... Minot...Killdeer...Glen ullen and Elgin. Travel may be slowed due to slippery roads.

Along and east of Highway 83...areas of fog and patchy freezing drizzle can be expected tonight. Places like Jamestown...Rugby Harvey...Rolla and Linton will likely see slippery roads due to the freezing drizzle.

For Monday...snow is expected across much of the area. The greatest amounts...up to four inches...will be across the southwest on Monday...and the James River Valley Monday and Tuesday. Those with travel plans should allow extra time to reach their destinations. Much of the region outside of North Dakota will also be impacted by this storm system.
