The short term forecast for western New York. Light rain...with wet snow mixed in...will continue across portions of western New York this morning. Any snow accumulation this morning will generally be across the higher elevations of Wyoming and Allegany counties. New rainfall between 11 am and 2 PM will average around a tenth of an inch or less this morning. This rain should begin to diminish in coverage area later this morning and into the afternoon hours from east to west. Morning cloudiness will continue into the afternoon hours. Temperatures will generally remain in the upper 30s with a few spots 40 or so into the early afternoon across the region. A chilly wind will continue from the northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30.
