Life Along Lake Michigan

I'm headed to the airport to go to Montreal today. The forecast there is for cold and sunny weather throughout the weekend. That sounds better than the cold and lake effect snow here in Holland. The snow from Monday has compacted, but it is not melting much because of the constant cold temperatures. Highs in the lower 30's everyday. The sun has not made an appearance.
I can see that the traffic cameras from Grand Rapids show no snow there. I plan to leave at noon, or sooner if the lake effect snow starts up here. Southwest Ottawa county is square in the area where the snow bands are suppose to be and I want to be sure and get out of here before that happens.
Amanda will be picking me up from the airport and her boss gave her the day off tomorrow! I would like to see the Christmas decorations and Friday night we are going to the Twilight movie with her sister-in-law and mother-in-law to be. I am looking forward to all of it! We won't celebrate thanksgiving because the Canadian on was over in October, but it will be a great time together without the work of the turkey dinner!
