The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River at Afton.
* At 6:15 PM Tuesday the stage was 11.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 11.3 feet by
after midnight tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage
Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 11.5 feet... water surrounds at least 2 homes near the
river in the Afton area. Numerous secondary roads in the Afton area
are closed to traffic. Floodwaters affect South River Road on the
south side of Janesville. Traxler Park off of Memorial drive in
Janesville is flooded.

* At 6:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 11.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring... no forecast is available.
* Forecasts are not issued for this location. This warning will
remain in effect until the River Falls below flood stage.
* Impact... at 11.7 feet... a stage of 11.72 feet is the 4 percent
chance flood meaning that there is a 4 percent chance in any given
year of the river reaching this level. There is widespread flooding
of lowland and agricultural land. A small park in Fulton is flooded
and closed.

* At 7:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
* Record flooding is occurring and record flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 10.6 feet by
after midnight tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage
early Friday morning.
* Impact... at 9.9 feet... floodwaters surround a power substation on
Colley Road. Floodwaters are also in the back yards of some homes
on arrowhead drive... East Ridge Road... mocassin drive... and in The
Turtle ridge subdivision.

after midnight tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage
tomorrow late evening.
* Impact... at 10.6 feet... this level is the 10 percent chance flood
meaning that there is a 10 percent chance in any given year of the
river reaching this level. There is widespread flooding of lowland
and agricultural land.

the sugar river at Brodhead.
* At 6:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 8.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 9.2 feet by
tomorrow morning. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday
early afternoon.
* Impact... at 9.1 feet... this level is the 20 percent chance flood
meaning that there is a 20 percent chance in any given year of the
river reaching this level. There is widespread flooding of lowland
and agricultural land in the Brodhead area. Floodwaters cover roads
about 6 miles downstream in Avon township of Rock County. In the
Avon bottoms area of Rock County, there is flooding in sugar River
Park. Floodwaters are over Highway T in Rock County.

* At 722 PM CST, local law enforcement and emergency management
report that several roads remain closed across the warned area due
to high water. Additional rises are likely to occur overnight on
area creeks and streams, making additional flooding possible
through morning.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, West Allis, Wauwatosa, Beloit,
Greenfield, Oak Creek, Mount Pleasant, South Milwaukee, Pleasant
Prairie, Cudahy, Whitefish Bay, Greendale, Brown Deer, Elkhorn, St.
Francis, Delavan, Hales Corners and Lake Geneva.
