Westport, WA (Current Weather Conditions)

Built in 1897, Gray's Harbor Lighthouse at 107 feet is Washington's tallest lighthouse, in Westport WA.

When first constructed it was 300 feet from the ocean. Because of land accretion, mostly cause by the construction of the jetty system in the early 1900s, it is now 3000 feet from the high tide mark.

About katy99780

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
